ProTec sees more work, more hiring with new federal STARS designation

The Memphis Business Journal recognized ProTec's federal STARS designation last week.

A new federal designation could result in up to $50 million in increased revenue for cabling infrastructure company Professional Technologies Inc.

ProTec recently was awarded an 8(a) STARS II designation from the U.S. General Services Administration that gives the company the ability to bid on $10 billion in federal contracts over the next five years. The designation also has a five-year renewable option, so it could result in 10 years of federal work for ProTec.
